NEW DATES FOR JAAMA’S FLEET MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS
Demand from companies for expert advice on the essentials of fleet management has led to Jaama announcing more dates for its popular seminar programme.
The fleet management software and occupational road safety specialist expanded its workshop portfolio, which previously focused only on occupational road risk management, to include Fleet Management Essentials and environmental issues earlier this year.
Over the past two years more than 800 employees with fleet responsibility have attended Jaama’s Risk Management Essentials workshops and so far this year about 100 people with fleet responsibility have attended the Fleet Management Essentials workshops.
Targeted at part-time fleet managers and newcomers to the role, the expanded workshop has proved popular.
Nick Blackham-Hayward, operations director of Essex-based Ovenden Papers, said: “The workshops filled in some missing information gaps and created other issues for us to think about”; while Mark Dines, payroll manager of investment company Brewin Dolphin Securities, said: “The workshop was very informative and gave me the information I need to update our company car policies and procedures. and Paul Jacobs, fleet administrator of West Sussex-based Martlet Homes, said: “The Risk Management Essentials workshop was very interesting. I learned a lot on making my role easier and more efficient.”
Dates and venues for the next Fleet Management Essentials seminars are: Tuesday, June 19 at The Bromsgrove Hotel (M42 J1/M5 J4/5); and Thursday, June 28 at the Copthorne Hotel, Slough/Windsor (M4 J6).
Dates and venues for the next Duty of Care and Green Fleet Management seminars are: Thursday, June 21 at the Holiday Inn, Runcorn (M56 J12); and Tuesday, June 26 at the Menzies Prince Regent Hotel, Woodford Green (M11/M25 J26 near Chigwell).
Jaama managing director Jason Francis said: “Our entire workshop programme has proved very popular, particularly with employees who combine fleet responsibility for cars and commercial vehicles with another role in their organisation and those who are new to vehicle management.
“The whole area of fleet management can be daunting, especially if you are new to the role or have ‘acquired’ the day-to-day running of the fleet as part of your responsibilities. In addition, we recognise and appreciate that operators of smaller or employee-owned fleets do not always have the luxury of a full time dedicated fleet manager and often new legislation and best practices can be missed.
”With this in mind, our one-day workshop is aimed at administrators and managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles.”
As well as an array of practical information, delegates will take away documents that they can adapt to meet their own individual fleet requirements including fleet policies and driver handbooks and risk management guidance.
It costs £375 per delegate to attend a one-day workshop however concessions are available and further details can be found at www.jaama.co.uk
