Fleet software in the news
Jaama launch the UK's most advanced commercial vehicle management system
Fleet software and road safety specialist Jaama has launched the latest version of Key2 Vehicle Management their flagship commercial vehicle software system.
Designed for both fleet operators and contract hire suppliers, Key2 Vehicle Management covers all aspects of owning, leasing, hiring, maintaining, repairing and disposing of vehicles, plant and other asset related equipment.
Managing director Jason Francis who has in the past called fleet technology progress 'painfully slow', said a desire to provide customers with what they wanted was the catalyst for establishing Jaama, which invested heavily to become a Microsoft Development Partner.
Francis said: "I was talking five-years-ago about the need for fleet systems to adopt modern technology to provide customers with greater integration and automation but until now, technology available to commercial vehicle operators was way behind. It's a complex area and one crying out for new technology to both manage the regulatory requirements and reduce operating costs.
"Most fleet systems are unable to achieve this as they were originally designed to manage cars not commercials. This has left organisations losing millions of pounds a year through not being able to properly control maintenance costs and supplier invoices."
According to Jaama, Key2 Vehicle Management is the only system in the UK that has been specifically designed to manage assets and the complex process of multi asset commercial vehicles.
The system has already been adopted by some of the largest commercial fleets in the UK including Newtown Vehicle Rentals, construction company Norwest Holst (Vinci Plc), Ringway Highway Services and Worcester County Council.
