SOFTWARE LEADER JAAMA EARNS ‘RECOMMENDED’ STATUS FROM FLEET PROFESSIONALS FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR
A programme of continuous investment resulting in Jaama being in the vanguard of fleet management software development to the benefit of customers and prospects has earned Jaama an industry award thanks to professional fleet managers.
Delivering operational cost savings, reducing fleet administration and improving fleet efficiency are the objectives of fleet managers and Jaama’s ability to deliver market-leading software to achieve those targets has earned the company Reader Recommended status from leading industry publication Fleet News for the second consecutive year.
It is the second award won already this year by Jaama having secured its eighth Institute of Transport Management award after being named ‘Best UK Fleet Software Company’ for the fifth time having previously also twice won the ‘Fleet Services Company’ award and been billed as the ITM’s ‘One to Watch’ in 2004, its launch year.
Jaama managing director Jason Francis said: “Fleet managers are the most discerning of customers so to earn plaudits from them in the shape of retaining Fleet News Reader Recommended status for the second consecutive year is hugely rewarding.
“Since launching, Jaama has been hugely successful in bringing a new dimension to fleet management software. Further, the economic downturn has provided new opportunities for Jaama as public and private sector fleets have increasingly turned to utilising software to improve cost management.
“We continue to work hand-in-hand with all of our customers to enable them to maximise the effectiveness of their online systems and thereby improve the efficiency of their fleet operations with the net result that costs reduce.”
The multi award-winning web-enabled Key2 Vehicle Management remains Jaama’s core fleet management software system, but recent new developments in the shape of a string of additional modules to meet a wide cross-section of client demands include:
- An upgrade to its DVLA driver licence checking system to provide fleet users with an industry-leading fully outsourced solution that reduces administration
- The ability of customers to submit expenses and benefit information directly to HM Revenue & Customs.
- An update to ensure employee compliance with the commercial vehicle Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- An Electronic Driver Services module which ensures data on employees and their vehicle is collected to provide employers with an audit trail to meet at-work driving duty of care compliance
- The launch of a commercial vehicle defect logging reporting tool.
Mr Francis added: “It is that investment and innovation strategy that I believe has helped Jaama win new contracts with major fleets such as Amey and The Co-operative Group as well as with contract hire and leasing companies such as Ogilvie Fleet.
“We will continue to increase the depth and range of software functionality and services to fleet customers to keep Jaama at the forefront of fleet management technology.”
Jaama’s product development is backed by a support package that includes client staff training and Mr Francis said: “It’s vital that the Jaama brand stands for exceptional service, which is why we work with customers 24/7.”
Other Jaama customers include British Transport Police, DHL, Serco, BCA, MITIE and the SIG Group.
