JAAMA’S FOCUS ON PROVIDING ONLINE FLEET SOLUTIONS DELIVERS SECOND 2009 AWARD SUCCESS
Leading fleet management software supplier Jaama has won its second Institute of Transport Management award in 2009.
The organisation has won the ‘Best Fleet Services Company’ title after securing the ‘Best UK Fleet Software Company’ award earlier this year for the fourth time. It is the second time that Jaama has won the ‘Best Fleet Services Company’ award having previously captured the honour in 2007. Jaama also won the ITM’s ‘One to Watch’ in 2004, its launch year.
In presenting the ‘Best Fleet Services Company’ 2009 award to Jaama, Philip Leung, the ITM’s awards liaison officer, said: “Fleet operators face an ongoing battle to control costs and overheads, no matter the size of the fleet. Jaama’s combination of products and services is a powerful resource for fleet managers in today’s climate who need to keep on top of a myriad of operational costs.
“Fleet managers must handle a wide variety of challenges in order to keep their fleets operating efficiently, that is, with minimal vehicle off-road time and maximum functionality. Technology is a key component of a successful fleet operation; however, even a sophisticated IT package can - and should - be augmented by additional management techniques.”
Jaama offers a range of additional services including incisive business consultancy, project management and hands-on training to the fleet, leasing and rental markets.
ITM research into one-stop-shop fleet services companies operating in the UK revealed that Jaama was ahead of all of its rivals.
Mr Leung said: “It became clear in the course of the research that there is no one-stop-shop in the fleet services segment as one-stop as Jaama. Not only does this company offer top of the range IT packages, it has the resources to deliver consultancy and training of the highest calibre.”
Jaama’s suite of software solutions is led by its Key2 Vehicle Management technology and also includes RiskAssistant and FleetAssistant for fleet managers in charge of smaller transport operations.
Jaama managing director Jason Francis said: “We are delighted to add another ITM award to our list of achievements.
“The economic downturn is providing opportunities for Jaama as more organisations and public and private sector fleets turn to utilising more technology to improve cost management
“Our customers are able to justify their employer’s investment in our software systems by the savings they make. The most significant benefits come in terms of the amount of administration time saved coupled with the ability to deliver huge operating cost savings through the increasingly efficient management of their fleet and ‘grey’ fleet vehicles and associated duty of care responsibility.
“Cost control is the single biggest issue facing business and fleets this year. As a result, fleet decision-makers should utilise our systems and technology to help them manager their cost base and deliver financial savings. Our client list can testify to having recorded significant cost savings thus improving operating efficiency and effectiveness.”
