JAAMA UNVEILS NEW ELECTRONIC DRIVER SERVICES MODULE
Fast-growing fleet software company Jaama has added a new Electronic Driver Services (EDS) module to its award-winning Key2 Vehicle Management system.
Developed in conjunction with a number of fleets already using the popular online fleet management technology including Manheim and SIG Plc, EDS is both a risk management tool and a driver information portal.
More than six months in development EDS risk profiles drivers - whether they drive a company vehicle or their own car on business - and ensures that data on them and their vehicle is collected to provide their employer with an audit trail, which is essential for at-work driving duty of care compliance.
EDS then keeps an automated check to ensure that information required of the system - for example business insurance if an employee drives their own car on business - is provided and delivers reminders if not.
In addition, EDS enables drivers to compile and submit business mileage expense claims online and bosses to validate them; acts a repository for all fleet policy information so updates can be easily accessed; enables drivers to be informed of tax issues and compile P11D returns online; and fleet chiefs can use the system to deliver vital information, for example reminders about checking tyre condition and pressure and fluid levels, to all drivers.
Jaama managing director Jason Francis said: “EDS is capable of covering every single aspect of driver information that a fleet manager requires them to know. In developing EDS we worked closely with some of our customers to ensure that we had all issues covered.
“Crucially, as new issues crop up additional portals can be quickly added to the module to ensure fleet drivers have a single point off access for all vehicle related data, information and configuration.”
As Key2 Vehicle Management has the ability to link directly with a company’s software systems operated by all other departments, for example HR and accounts, the new EDS module can be accessed through an organisation’s own intranet site.
Mr Francis added: “EDS joins all driver-related issues together from tax to health and safety and on to fleet policy information in one accessible online module.”
